Ilkley is a peaceful and relaxing town in the Wharfe Valley and lies mainly to the South of the River Wharfe with Middleton across the other side of the water. It is surrounded by the picturesque countryside of the Yorkshire Dales, yet it is only a 30 minute train journey to Leeds City centre.
The famous Cow & Calf Rocks overlook the town from the moors, with the most magnificent views across the lower Wharfedale valley and perfect for walking, hiking and climbing. The great shopping and dining opportunities are vast for a town of this size and it also has a Lido, one of only 127 remaining in England.
There is a variety of styles of houses in Ilkley, some outstanding detached and semi detached properties from the Victorian and Edwardian periods along with some more modern designs. Closer to the centre of town you’ll find charming Victorian terraced houses and convenient apartments… many within walking distance of ‘The Grove’.

Not too far away you’ll find the smaller villages of Menston, Burley-in-Wharfedale, Askwith, Addingham and just over the hill into the Aire Valley there’s the bustling market town of Skipton often referred to as ‘The Gateway to The Dales’.
