Yorkshire asking prices have risen

Market: the price of property coming to the market saw its lowest monthly rise at this time of year since 2008, up by just 0.6 per cent, according to the latest Rightmove asking price index.

The number of sellers coming to market was down by 13.5 per cent year-onyear as sluggish prices and Brexit chaos deterred speculative sellers.

However, buyers remain undeterred. The number of sales agreed were almost unchanged on the same period a year ago and there was more chance of getting a sale through to completion.

In Yorkshire asking prices were two per cent higher than last October.
